Disclaimer
The reading ages on Sleevary listings run from 2 to 14, and each of them is a suggestion taken from the book’s publisher, which is the first of several limits this page sets out. This disclaimer took effect Oct. 2, 2026 and explains how far the information on sleevary.com can be relied on when an adult is choosing a book that a child will read.
Reading ages suggested by publishers
The “Reading age” line on a listing, such as Ages 3 to 7 for Corduroy or Ages 10 to 14 for Hatchet, repeats the range the publisher gives for that edition. Children of the same age read at very different levels, so the range is a starting point and not an assessment of reading level, maturity, or readiness for a particular story. Several middle grade novels in the catalog deal with hard subjects, such as the German occupation of Denmark in Number the Stars and the death of a friend in Bridge to Terabithia, and the summary on each listing is the place to check before buying.
Editions identified by ISBN-13
Of all the details on a listing, the ISBN-13 is the one that pins down the exact edition Sleevary sells, because a title can exist in several printings and bindings while each edition keeps its own thirteen-digit number. Page counts can shift by a few pages between printings of the same ISBN-13, which does not change the text. The short summary on each listing was written for Sleevary to describe the story, and it leaves out most of the plot on purpose.
Site content written as shopping information
Everything on sleevary.com, from listings to policy pages, is general information about books for sale and the terms of buying them. None of it is advice on literacy, education, or child development, and a teacher, librarian, or pediatrician is the right person to ask about a particular child. Sleevary checks its listings, but a wrong detail can still appear, and it is corrected as soon as it is found; the Payment Policy explains what happens to an order placed at a mistaken price.
Covers reprinted with new art
Publishers redesign covers, add award seals, and print anniversary badges between printings, so the cover that arrives can differ from the photo on the listing while the ISBN-13 and the text inside stay the same. Colors also look different from one screen to another. A copy whose ISBN-13, format, or edition differs from the listing is a different matter, which the Refund and Returns Policy handles as not as described.
Delivery times given as estimates
The 6 to 9 business days quoted for delivery are an estimate that adds 1 to 2 business days of packing to 5 to 7 business days in transit, and weather or carrier delays can make a box later. The Shipping Policy explains what customers can choose when an order runs late, including cancelling with a full refund.
Liability limited to the order amount
As far as the law permits, Sleevary and DIAMOND NISHELLE EVANS FUNY LLC are liable at most for the amount paid for that particular order, and neither answers for indirect losses, such as a present that arrives after a birthday. Nothing on this page removes a right that North Carolina or federal law gives a consumer and does not allow a seller to take away.
Reading choices left to the adult buyer
Choosing a book for a child is a decision for the adult who places the order, using the reading age, the summary, the format, and the page count shown on the listing. Hardcover picture books have paper pages that tear, and very young children should look at them with an adult nearby, as the Product Safety page explains.
Outside websites linked without endorsement
Some pages link to websites run by others, such as a carrier’s tracking page or the Consumer Product Safety Commission. Sleevary does not control those websites, does not endorse their content, and is not responsible for what they publish or how they handle data.
Disputes governed by North Carolina law
North Carolina law governs this disclaimer, and any dispute about it is handled in the state or federal courts serving Guilford County, North Carolina, as the Terms and Conditions describe.
Changes dated in the opening paragraph
A revised version of this page carries its new date in the opening paragraph, and whichever version was posted when an order went through is the one that applies to that order.
