Mama Llama tucks Baby Llama into bed in his red pajamas and goes downstairs to wash the dishes and talk on the phone. Baby Llama wants a drink of water. He calls for her, then calls again, and every minute she doesn’t come, the whimpering gets louder, until it turns into full llama drama.
Mama hurries up the stairs and tells him she is always close by, even when she is not in the room. The lines are short and they rhyme, and a toddler can usually say them along with you by the third night.
